Parks & Recreation

The City of Riceboro has several areas for leisure. Take time to enjoy these parks and recreational sites in our community.

Briar Bay Park

This Park & Pavilion is located at 3850 Barrington Ferry Rd. Amenities include a Covered & fenced pavilion with picnic-style seating for 50, Kitchen, Playground, Softball Field, Basketball Court, and Walking Trail. For the exclusive use of the site for an event, rental is available through the Liberty County Recreation Department.

Fishing Pier

The Fishing Pier in Riceboro is located on US Hwy. 17 near Ocean Highway & Cay Creek Road.  Set on the northside of Peacock Creek, the fishing deck goes out over the water about 45'. There is a covered picnic area and picnic tables available for use 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day of the week. Please keep in mind there are no restrooms are onsite.

Riceboro Youth Center

This complex includes a pavilion, walking trail, and playground as well as an indoor basketball court and learning lab.

City of Riceboro Town Center

The City of Riceboro owns and operates a greenspace adjacent to Riceboro City Hall. It is used for our annual RiceFest event, Christmas tree lighting, seasonal farmers market, and other special events. The location is perfect for walks, meetups, and gatherings.
